I'm Brayden — a Systems Design Engineering student at the University of Waterloo — and I thrive where tech meets design. I’ve got a burning passion for making cool things. Open to chatting about Summer 2026 internship opportunities.

I just joined Shopify as the company's first Design Engineering intern. I work on themes under the mentorship of Jhey Tompkins.

Outside of work and school I help run Socratica — a grassroots team rekindling the builder mindset through hosting weekly co-working sessions, rooftop dinners, and end-of-term symposiums.

Last year, I joined Figma as part of the inaugural cohort of Campus Leaders, growing adoption in Waterloo and working directly with product development.

Previous lives have been spent at ODF, NorthGuide, and the Government of Ontario.

In my spare time, there’s a 90% chance you’ll find me on a bicycle — either as my preferred choice of commute, or for sport.
